Pulaski Man Arrested For Violating State Sex Offender Registry Law
A Pulaski resident wanted for violating the state sex offender registry law was apprehended in Lawrenceburg during the weekend.
Steven Allen Hayes, 37, of 2500 Franklin Hayes Road, was taken into custody shortly before 4:30 Saturday morning at his room at Traveler’s Motel, 900 North Locust Avenue.
Officers with the Lawrenceburg Police Department report they had been patrolling the parking lot at the motel and had noticed the same black dually truck loaded with a four wheeler parked in the lot for several consecutive nights. The truck, reports show, bore Giles County license plates.
When they ran a check on the license plate, officers discovered that the vehicle was registered to a man against whom there were outstanding warrants in Giles County.
Hayes was placed under arrest on charges of violation of the sex offender registry law and transported to the Lawrence County Jail. He was held there pending transfer to Giles County.
